Exercise CAN be fun ? Exercise SHOULD be fun. Exercise WILL be fun if you just find a way you to move that makes YOU feel good. At the Station we have a whopping 40 classes to choose from! Everything from Boxing and Kick Boxing to HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and Strength. We even do Self Defence and Stretching on Saturdays! All our classes are taught by qualified and experienced trainers who are here to help you find a way to move that makes you feel happy!
We know that enjoying the gym is as much about the classes and training as it is about the environment. Our members are the best! They are welcoming and encouraging and you’ll love training with them. The culture at The Station Gym is second to none. Everyone works as a team and they leave their ego’s at the door. We always have been and always will be the peoples gym.
The thing that sets us apart is that our trainers are not fresh out of high school with unrealistic views on the fitness industry. We are real trainers with real experience and real clients just like you. Our trainers have over 35 years of experience between us.
Even though we train competitive athletes we haven’t forgotten what it is like to train with limitations, we understand burpees don’t work for everyone. We know what a juggling act work and kids can be. We have had to start again after injury and illness. We know how you trained in your 20’s might not be how you need to train in your 40’s. We get that there are things you need altered when you are carrying extra weight or just starting out. We understand these things and we have already helped hundreds of others to achieve their goals around their perceived limitations. We are sure we can help you.
We have also trained and competed in combat sports, Crossfit comps and team sports giving us the experience to get you ready for your next fitness challenge, whatever that may be! We have been coaching elite level athletes for over 10 years and are ready to use our expertise to help you reach your training goals. Whether you are getting ready to run a marathon, want to compete as a boxer or kickboxer, play netball/football/soccer, want to do your first obstacle course, want to be able to stand up without sounding like a injured bear or any other goal you have. Our classes and one on one training will have you firing on all cylinders.

We all feel nervous when we start somewhere new. Here are some of our top tips on how to overcome them new gym feels.
1/ Check out our Facebook and Instagram pages and you will get a good idea of what to expect. We have loads of content and videos of classes and the people.
2/ Make an appointment here to come and see the gym, meet our trainers and get familiar with it all before you start.
3/ Bring a friend for your first few sessions. They can get a free week here and having a training buddy can help keep you motivated too.
4/ Remember we all started out as the newbie and once you start training it really is all about you. No one has time to look at what everyone else is doing because they are busy working on themselves.
Our classes are designed to be adapted to all fitness levels. We are also always changing the format and exercises meaning that they prevent adaptation. They are designed to keep your body guessing and keep you pushing your boundaries. We can always modify classes by using heavier weights, increasing reps, decreasing rest time and adding in active rest if you feel like you’re not working hard enough.

Absolutely not! The Station is full of normal people with lots of different body shapes and goals! Remember the journey is as important as the destination.
It’s totally fine to step aside for a few moments to catch your breaths or grab a quick drink. If anything doesn’t feel right or you’re not quite ready for the intensity we can modify all our classes to suite where you are at. You could also book a few half hour one on one sessions to help you feel more comfortable before you start. Book with one of or trainers here.
