BIOGRAPHY
Kirsty has over 13 years of experience working in the fitness industry however she has loved sports and gym most of her life. A busy, working mother to 3 children she knows what a juggling act life can be! Her passion is boxing and after competing as an amateur boxer for several years she moved on to coaching and has been doing so for the last 11 years. With a constant drive to learn more her coaching style is very technical and ever evolving.
Kirsty started working in gyms back in 2007 when she completed her Cert III & IV in fitness. In 2010 with the help of her ex-husband Kirsty built Gawler Boxing and Fitness that later went on to be The Gawler Boxing Club. At the time Kirsty was competing as an Amateur Boxer and assisting the head coach Franco and then Pat with coaching. Kirsty is a fully registered coach with Boxing South Australia and Boxing Australia Limited.
In 2013 after deciding to expand the gym Kirsty brought on 2 business partners Pat and BJ and together they founded The Station Gymnasium at its current location in Gawler South.
Not only does Kirsty coach boxers but she loves working with strength and fitness clients. Kirsty also works with regular NDIS clients and loves connecting with a broad range of people and using her industry knowledge to increase their confidence and to use movement as a form of therapy.
“Often when we are moving and connecting to our bodies we find
it easier to connect to others. There are many similarities between
the struggles we face in life and the hurdles we overcome in the gym.
A lot of my clients find it easier to digest life analogies when they are
able to be demonstrated in a more literal way”
